Prior to joining Lift, I was physically tired all the time. I had slipped into a work/home pattern of trying to be all things to all people and was quite literally running out of puff. I would struggle to stay awake past 8pm and I knew at age 38, this was not looking like a good trajectory for me.

 

I was given a recommendation for getting in touch with Amanda at Lift from a work colleague. My lack of time for self and how I was too tired to find ways to make use of the limited time I could carve out of my busy lifestyle was becoming problematic. For me, being a part of Lift has provided bang for buck. I wasn't seeking a gym but I got one. I wasn't seeking camaraderie with a cross section of Cambridge's finest women but I absolutely have this. I wasn't seeking muscle tone and increased strength but I am proud to say that I have this too! I have access to nutritional advice, practical information on perimenopause, an optional 'social-club-on-the-side' for walking adventures and some complimentary challenges from time to time to complete week to week at home. I came to Lift to increase my mental and physical fitness which I have been able to achieve.
